does hyperemesis gravidum get better?

i am incredibly sick. cannot exercise, drive, hardly can shower and eating is a chore bc whatever I eat typically will just be thrown up later. most days I throw up 7-10x. i wake up in the middle of the night and vomit. smells are the worst. im so dehydrated bc yes, i even vomit water. this is so much worse than I thought for. my doctor has not hospitalized me yet bc I am a health professional myself and can care for myself at home. does this get better? i am not interested in taking zofran as i read a recent study showing a cleft lip link while taking zofran during pregnancy.....WILL this get better?
