Transporting milk home on flight?

Hello, ladies. In a week I'm heading out of town for a Bachelorette Party for a long weekend (Thursday night thru Sunday morning). I'm currently nursing my 4 month old so I will be pumping while away. What is the best way to transport my milk home on the plane? It's a short flight (1.5 hours) and door-to-door timeframe will be about 5 hours. I plan to check my bag and put a small hard-sided cooler with ice packs inside. I'll have access to a fridge and freezer while away. Should I freeze the milk beforehand, or keep it liquid? Package in bottles or bags? Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated!

Definitely put them in the cooler frozen... but i know airlines where i live don't allow a a certain amount of liquids so you run into the risk of them just throwing it out

I'd freeze in bags. they his up better to freezing than most bottles. you want them to stay cold for as long as possible.

Paige is is correct, absolutely check with the airline first ! 
Sometimes they won't let you bring it if you don't have the baby with you. Which is stupid! 
Also there are services that will let you mail it frozen so look into those if it turns out you'll have trouble with your airline

Last I checked w TSA for US continental flights, you can bring either cooled or frozen milk in any quantity in a separate cooler and they do not count toward your liquid volume limitations. (Pump and cooler also should not count toward your carryon bag count but they get a little snarky with that since there are SO many carryons now.) Frozen milk they usually pass thru quickly but thawed they will need to “swab” with their magic wand. Also, you have the right and SHOULD request them to change their gloves to new ones before inspection of your cooler/milk. :) do a search for traveling w breastmilk- there are a lot of good tips out there!  
Also,check your airports to see if they have lactation rooms in the terminal! I flew thru San Antonio and they had a “pod” for pumping in my terminal which was so nice to use!!
