I've breastfeed my baby for the for two days but my nipples got blisters on them an it's extremely painful an she won't stay latched now Its been something I wanted to do for her as a mother now I feel useless

It’s painful for the first couple of weeks but then it makes life so easy and becomes painless. Push through if you can. Put the lanisloh cream on, make sure the baby is latching ok and push through. Call a lactation consultant if you think the latch isn’t right. It’s hard, but you can do it!!

You shouldn't be getting blisters. Yes it does hurt a bit for the first few weeks until your nipples toughen up, but any damage, cracks, blisters or bruising is a sign of an incorrect latch. I would go see an IBCLC. They are required to have hundreds of hours of training and experience to gain and maintain their certification.  They will be able to teach you how to achieve a deep latch. An IBCLC will also be able to check for any physiological problems such as a cleft palate or a lip/tongue tie. They can show you how to use a nipple shield until your nipples heal.  Breastfeeding is hard enough without having to deal with the excruciating pain of feeding with damaged nipples.

There’s this cream at target called boobease... it’s amazing. It’s like putting an aloe Vera ice cube on your nipples... and it’s waaaaaaay lighter/smoother in consistency than the purple lansinoh tube that stuff actually hurts applying it and does nothing for the pain!

I’m sorry 😐 my baby’s latch was good but I got scabs on my nipples bc my skin was so soft and needed to toughen up. I found the best solution was to squirt some breast milk on my nipples after each feeding and let them air dry... it was super painful to nurse through but took a week max and then as soon as the scabs healed, breastfeeding was suddenly easy and convenient. I hope it gets better for you ASAP!

If you’re getting blisters her latch must be off. PLEASE DON’T GIVE UP BREASTFEEDING. I know that fed is best but there are SO many benefits to breastfeeding. Your body literally makes the perfect recipe that your baby needs! Have a lactation consultant check out your latch. Make sure you have as much of the nipple and areola in your baby’s mouth as possible. Her lips should form a seal around your breast. You can use a Lanolin cream to help with cracking nipples in the mean time. Cool compresses will help to soothe the “hot” sensation. The best thing you can do after a feeding is hand express a couple drops of your milk and spread it over your nipples/areolas. Don’t give up mama, you’re doing great! Just make sure to get that latch checked out!

I ended up getting sores on my nipples and they said to use my milk and colostrum to healing after feeding and it helped a lot like it healed up within a week and make sure the baby isnltching right it should be extremely painful if the baby is latching correctly.
