metformin 500mg?

Has anyone in here taken them before? I'm suppose to start tonight but I've been reading they have really bad side effects so I was wondering if anyone has experience with them. good or bad.

The only problem I had with it was it made me fatigued, took about a week for me to get use to it. I take it 2x a day now 1 in the morning an 1 at night.

I just started 500 mg once a day yesterday and it was horrible yesterday. Today was okay, but still not back to normal. All I have to say is beware and don’t go on long car rides/ places without bathrooms. I did and almost DIED 😅😅😅😅 good luck!!!

Studies have shown Ovasitol woks better than Metformin, but doctors don't tell their patients that because it's natural and they probably have never heard of it before. So if the metformin doesn't do it for ya, try the Ovasitol, you can check it out at pcos diva if you're interested :-)

I started off 500mg 2x a day then after a month I went up to 1000mg 2x a day. The side effects for me were horrible in the beginning. 2 months later the side effects have gotten way better!

Nah not too bad you’ll be fine. I do 850mg twice a day. You get used to it

I take 500mg, the first few days I had diarrhea but that was all..it went away after 3ish days.

🙋‍♀️ the first couple weeks are just bathroom breaks, not tooooo bad. Manageable if you know it’s helping TTC! I’ve been on 750mg for almost two years. I haven’t had side effects since the beginning. Good luck 🍀
