Trying to conceive...

So since November 2017 i have been TTC with my second child. My first pregnancy was fine it happened in a months time. Now this time that I am TTC I haven’t had any luck. So I have 3 days until my AF and my right lower side is killing me. I’m a little worried, could it be miscarriage? I haven’t taken a pregnancy test because I don’t want to get my hopes up anymore. Just needing some advice.

Update 05/01: currently one day late. Tested two days before suspected period and got a BFN! Current symptoms is food cravings, hunger pains, one day late, and fatigue. Waiting impatiently until I have missed my entire AF to test again.
