Normal or no

Is it normal for a 17 month old to continuously hit his head off a wall or door or even his bed when angry or laughing about it?

My son is 17 months old and does this out of anger and he’ll sometimes do it just to do it I’ll tell him to stop he’ll get a booboo but nope that doesn’t work I’ve stopped him from

Hurting himself I’ll put my hand on his forehead so he doesn’t hurt himself and I’ll tell him that he’ll get hurt. He has my attention 24/7 we are never separated or anything so I don’t know why he’s doing this or if it’s normal.
