Did having a baby ruin you and your significant others fun life?

Just curious if anybody had a baby and still kept a spark in their relationship.

I mean- it’s a different life than it was before. We don’t go to parties or go out every weekend or travel as much. But to us, now “fun” is going to the aquarium as a family, and having special date nights him and I, and traveling together with our baby to places we want to go. Our life isn’t any less rich or rewarding. Its much more interesting and exciting in my opinion, even though there are days that are hard

Do y'all have any idea how much fun it is to have a baby? To watch them grow into toddlers? Like seriously. First, they are freaking adorable. You can stare at them all day. Secondly they learn so much so fast. One minute they are pooping burping balls of weird-cute. The next they are crawling around yelling Dada at the cats. Trying to walk. Falling asleep while eating. You get to go to parks and watch them play. Zoos are a thousand times more fun. Every song is a sing along. Dancing becomes mandatory, not optional. Food isn't boring, everything comes in fun shapes. We still go to movies, we just usually take our daughter. We go out to eat, we just share our food. If we wanted to go out alone, we'd get a sitter. But how am I supposed to leave this cute face at home?

Everything changes. Don't get me wrong, being a parent is the hardest thing I've ever done. Yet, it's the most fulfilling thing as well.

We're still traveling a lot & do basically all the same stuff except for never going out late at night 😂 baby always comes with us! We're leaving for Europe tomorrow, baby is 14mo old today. He's already been to San Francisco, Banff Canada, Seattle, Denmark, Kaua'i, & Sacramento with us!

I love the moments of us at home, just taking care of our kids. We have a lot of fun together and I just love spending family time. We have alone time as well right before bed and those are also some of the greatest moments. We can talk to each other and just laugh and spend time with one another. I don’t think having a baby ruined our lives at all. I would definitely say made it better but I don’t want to give the wrong impression that having a baby fixed things. Our lives changed drastically when we conceived our first, but definitely didn’t ruin anything.

Not at all. We are big home bodies though, so having a child didn't really change our schedules any significant amount.

It’s different, I would say our fun life right now is limited bc I’m always tired. When the baby is here 100 percent not. You will get your time together but it’s the memories with the little ones that makes it worth it.

No. The things we did for fun were family friendly anyways, so having a child added to it. We were never into partying, clubbing, or anything like that.
