Double stroller or no?

I’ve got a 2 year old right now and baby #2 is due beginning of October. Would it be worth it to upgrade to a double stroller? If yes, are there any specific ones you recommend?

I have the baby jogger city select and love it. It can be a single or a double. My oldest wasn’t in a stroller for long after I had my second but it was great for when she got tired or we were on an outing. They also have a kick board for when they get over sitting. Definitely using it again this go round.

i second the baby jogger over a side by side they are wayyyy too bulky. And a 2yo should be able to just stand on the board at the back mostly anyway

i dont have a jogger or side by side i have the graco double stroller and i love it. i used it when my 2nd one was a baby and my oldest was a toddler and now my 2nd one can still use it when this baby is born

I have a 2 year old and also due in October. I got the Chico bravo for 2 since I have the Chico keyfit infant car seat. There are multiple ways to arrange it and the toddler can even stand on it. Makes me nervous if we are around a crowded street and give options for keeping track of the 2 year old. That being said he’s pretty wild! If he would walk right next to me and hold my hand, maybe not as important? For Zoo / amusement parks it also seems like it would come in handy.

I used to nanny kids that were exactly 2 years apart. The 3 year old would sit on the front of a single bob stroller (over the big front wheel) if she got tired at the zoo or something, otherwise she didn’t really like to be in a stroller anymore. So, probably depends on your 2 year olds personality.
