How do you feel about living with your partner before marriage?

I personally couldn't marry someone without living with them beforehand but to each their own I suppose. It is a completely different experience than just seeing them daily or spending a night or two. That is exactly how I discovered I didn't want to marry my ex. I have lived with my husband-to-be for over a year now.

I was with my ex for 4 years before we moved in together and after living with him for six months I couldn't stand him anymore so I moved out. I was going to marry him! 😝 I decided with my current boyfriend I wouldn't wait so long to live together, I didn't want waste more years of my life, so we moved in after 6 months of dating. It is now 6 years later, we own a house, and are expecting our first child. I wouldn't have it any other way!

I’m pretty indifferent. I moved in with my husband 2 weeks before we got married and we turned out good so far. I know that’s not for everyone tho and they’d prefer to live with someone first.

This is more of personal choice. We decided to take it slow. In the beginning of our relationship, we often took trips in and out of town after formally meeting the parents, of course. Some of those trips were for work, family reunions, holidays, celebratory, etc. On trips, we often slept together in the same room. After dating for a year & half and long trip to Japan, we started to take turns staying with each other overnight, once a week while alternating homes. Then, gradually dose up the nights per week until we feel comfortable to combine our living space. One step at a time. Once we live together for another year and graduate from our university, we'll consider marriage.
