Advice?

Question

So my friend is having an after school party at the end of may for the last day of school and it’s a swim party but eve tells me I’m going to be on my period what should I do? I’ve never used a tampon in my life not a cup only pads but my other friend has a super close cycle to mine so I’m not sure if we will both be in the same boat any advice?☹️

I recommend watching some YouTube videos and how to put it in if you don't have nobody in real life you can talk I had to teach a few of my friends how to use a tampon because I was a little bit older maybe you can ask one of your close friends to show you how to do it I promise it's not weird we're females we help each other.

Swimming with a tampon is no fun. Wear shorts and put your feet in the water. Or maybe you will get lucky and won’t have your period that day.

I know a friend who used to use only pad but after we had a trip to the beach, she decided to use a tampon and she never used one before so I’m proud of her.
I get the nervous feeling that you May feel at the thought of using a tampon. People may make it a big deal how its Bad to use tampons, but that’s only if you leave it in for more than 8 hours.  
So if you really want to hangout with friends, you should try it! Later in life you might need a tampon for like clothing or another activity(as wearing a tampon helps when you’re sports), so it’s great to start somewhere.

I’ll provide a proper instructual link to help you if you decide to put it on. Just remember to relax. It is easier when you do. You won’t feel pain, if it is on, but you May feel uncomfortable as it may not be in right. If that’s the case, take it out and try again. When you push it in, there’s gonna be this special area where the tampon goes in and feels natural. In the instruction it’s going to explain that you only push it till the point your finger are touching your vagina. If you would like more detailed instructions feel free to let me know! (Recommend standing and putting a leg on the toilet as you get a better angle when pushing it in!) I’ll provide other links if you want to research. (Sorry if this is so long, I just want to get all the information so you feel comfortable. I also use a tampon from time to time so I have personal experience. You don’t have to start using tampons every time though as it is sometimes better to let things flow out!) recommend  u-Kotex brand tampon as it even comes with its little instruction packet which Is nice though it is expensive. The other are not bad!
