Is it to early to say yes?

So me  In my current boyfriend have been together for a while now and we talk about our future together a lot,   Such as kids, marriage and possibly even running a business together.  We have been dating about 4 months,  but we've also have been living together for the past 3 months now.    We just got back from a Denver trip a couple days ago and my mom called me as soon as we got back and asked if he proposed and I told her no because it's too soon for that so she said,  "if he asked you'll say yes right?" I said I don't know... and later that night I told my boyfriend about it then he followed it with an interesting question,  "so when do you I could ask you and you'll say yes?"
So I guess the whole reason for posting  this is to ask some of you ladies who know what I'm going through. I'm only 19 and I really love him and I think I'd say yes if he asked me but I also don't know if this is kinda sudden. Both my parents in his parents got married in under a year when they were our ages... So I guess my question is if he asked me do I just say yes and have a really long engagement or do I say no in this wait to be engaged?

I believe you need to know someone for 4 seasons minimum and get through some major milestones first (living together which you’ve got down, extended vacation, a large fight, etc) just to see how you both handle things.

I'm going to say wait. you can't get really know a person in 4 months. I got married at 19 after about 3 months and he and i both changed as people though our 20s and ended up divorced after 13 years together. dont take my situation as  what will happen to you tho. just wait. if you want to be married, you have the rest of your life.

I got engaged five months after meeting my husband. Our engagement lasted two years though and it was planned that way from the beginning. So if you do decide to say yes, you can still wait a while before you get married.

I married my husband after 10 days, I know that sounds crazy, but we have been together 7 years now. We were also a little older 27 and 29.

You don’t sound as sure about your SO, which is fine, but don’t rush getting engaged or married. You can be happily committed to him without taking that big of a step.

Just remember an engagement can last as long as you want it to whenever you do say yes. Everyone and every relationship is different so I don’t think there’s a right or wrong time just when you’re comfortable

I think it’s a bit early I mean y’all are still getting to know one another they say you don’t truly know if this person is your true spouse thee person you are to marry until y’all have been together for at least 3-5 years cause you really don’t know someone until this 3-5 year span and honestly this day in age we fight and break up we don’t fix/work through the problems we don’t seek counseling unless it’s for mental problems only but that’s just it it is okay to go for relationship help it’s nice having a professional outsider’s opinion on things plus they give you teaching skills if another problem arises I mean do you know how you are with kids how he is?? Cause let me tell you kids change everything and I don’t just mean adding to the fam I’m talking stress it’s a good stress but still financially expensive the first 3 years are stressful again good stress but let me tell you the first year you’re adjusting to new life new sleep schedules he’ll even not getting sleep so you snap at your bf/gf plus the adjustment to the new money going out the door because of diapers and wipes and if you’re gonna breastfeed or bottle feed and hell might even have to do both (I did cause I wasn’t able to produce enough) then the terrible 2/3s come and you start to turn on each other cause your pissed your child isnt listening your child is also trying to potty train so you’re having to wake up at all hours during the night to help them learn to use the toilet even through the night and ugh sooo much pee everywhere lol (I will say I’m very blessed my daughter has taken to potty and poop training like a champ and during the night we’ve only had 1 accident but she was sooo sick and puking I don’t blame her if probably piss my bed too lol) then you don’t know if your significant other has mental problems he could be hiding them or they can arise out of no where under the stress of money or kids plus do you still live at home?? It’s different when living at home spending the night vs having y’all down place and I was in the same shoes my now husband moved in with me after dating 3 months but it was cause his mom kicked him out of the house we were young and my mom wasn’t gonna have him put on the streets it’s great that your parents are supportive but there’s just a lot of factors to consider especially have y’all really had a real big fight yet there alone you definitely need to have before marriage how do each of you react?? Do one of you possibly get abusive?? I mean you don’t want to get “stuck” with someone when this could have been prevented plus some people are really hard to divorce won’t allow it and you literally have to pay court fees over and over cause most judges extend timelines and you literally have to fight to get a divorce all cause they won’t sign the damn papers that’s what happened with my parents speaking of parents do you really know his parents your soon to be in laws let me tell you I have some amazing in laws but damn they can get under my skin and push my buttons thankfully I’m the type to speak my mind but long post now made short....are you ready to wing it and learn who he is who his family is or do you want to take the time to learn who he is learn to fully trust him because if you can’t trust him there can be no US.... literally read it —— trUSt (so to be clear my opinion just be present enjoy time together now when a proposal comes even if it is early have a long engagement!!)

I got engaged after 5 months and married 7 months after that. I was 19 and he was 20.
We have since bought our first house and are expecting a baby! We've been married almost a year and its one of the best  things to happen to me. Everyone has different preferences and times, you do what is best for you and him. (:
