When did you tell your parents you were pregnant?

Thanks for all of your responses! We got pregnant the first time and my husband wanted to wait until at least after the dr appointment. Then I had a miscarriage. I ended up telling my family and close friends anyway, and only got to share sad news. This time I want to tell them soon, at about 6 weeks, why wait?

I don't plan on telling until I can't hide it anymore hahaha. I have a terrible relationship with my mom, and my dad won't be able to keep a secret

I wanted to wait until 12 weeks, but I needed family history info so I told my mom at 8weeks. But we didn’t tell my husbands family or the rest of my family until after 12 weeks

I was going to wait until before we announced because I knew she wouldn’t be happy, but at 6 weeks hyperemesis hit me like a truck and i ended up in the ER for fluids, considering im still on her insurance I figured I should tell her.
However, we told my MIL after 2 days (enough for it to sink in) because we knew how excited she’d be. She was really emotional, she had been in a head on accident with a school bus just a week before and everything seemed to be going wrong for her, she we told her to give her some light in her life. For weeks she said it was the only good thing happening for her ❤️
