Ovulation? And DH camping trip.

According to last month when I used answer ovulation test strips I ovulated around the 10th. This month I bought the clear blue digital ones that have the blinking and solid smiley faces, but I don't think I should use them until next month because DH is going on a camping/hike on the 10th and 11th. What do you guys think? Should I test any way? Or study my cervix, cm, and temp until next month to get to know my body better? P.s. this is my first month I'm going to keep track of everything body wise.
