Convertible car seat and living in heat

We live in southern Utah so it gets in the 100s throughout the whole summer. We’re going to need a convertible car seat eventually but I’m wondering if there’s a way to protect it from the heat just beating down on it. We live in an apartment so we just have a carport and my windows are tinted as dark as they can be but it’s still going to get hot.

It’s nice having an infant car seat because I can take it out during the day but I know that’s not possible to do daily for a convertible one.

Any suggestions?
