Move aside new mom! 🙄
So we all know that pregnancy ‘usually’ last 9 months. 9 months of your body changing, carrying your baby, and well the inevitable discomforts/pain that come along with pregnancy. Then you go into labor. Which also isn’t fun. Your cervix is opening to 10cm, which is equivalent to about the size of a bagel. From about the size of a blueberry, to a bagel. Your baby passes through this. A 7-10lbs baby. Or you had a cesarean. Major abdominal surgery. You’re going to need to heal during your post partum period. You’re bleeding, in discomfort/pain, working on breastfeeding, finally getting to snuggle the baby you carried.
So why is it that family/friends totally just focus in on the new baby. Not even thinking ‘hmmmm maybe this mom should be recovering, loving her baby, and not worrying about my presence. (Yes I know some family and friends are all about the new mom and her needs, but the most from what I read here and other pregnancy forums are full of complaints of baby snatchers, boundary crossers, not listening to the mom, and just flat out inconsiderate)
Why do people just think that a new mom and dad want them all in their business after going through birth right away? I just don’t understand. I can’t stand how baby hungry some people are.
