Any others suffers of hidradenitis suppurativa on here?

I am 20 and I have just been diagnosed with hidradenitis suppurativa 
To put it shortly I am devastated 
The condition is lifelong and incurable and causes abscesses or pus filed lumps on your underarms, vagina and inner thighs and under your boobs
It is very painful as the bumps become very large and burst 
It is an autoimmune disease 
I have just started seeing a boy who is gorgeous and I’m so worried that he will be turned off when I tell him that I have this disease even though it isn’t contagious it isn’t very attractive is it 😞😞
Any other suffers out there ? How did you go about telling your significant other and what have been your experiences with the disease ?

Aw honey, that's a difficult thing to come to terms with. If your lover is a mature and kind person he will see past it, especially if you let him know ahead of time. If he can't handle it, you deserve better treatment anyway. The silver lining in all this is it could show you who is a person of integrity and who isn't.

I have also been told I had this. mine flared when i was stressed. i have scares all over from it. I feel your pain and i am sorry for that. I started the conversation with my man when we were sitting on the couch talking just the 2 of us and I explained that sometimes i am in extreme pain and dont want to be touched. some days I cant put clothing on. i explained that I grow golf ball size boils all over and they look ugly. and that it looks terrible. but that it is me there was no going around it. i will be stuck with it till the day I die. he asked to see my side's and my tummy. ( the areas that are supposed to be smooth) he asked to feel i thought it was strange but i agreed he said " you are perfect in every way. why would this make you feel like i was going to leave". this will forever stick in my head. I did not wear bathing suits or any shirts that came above the elbow because of the scares. ( started at age 11 now i am 21) i learned that if you come at it as it is you and if they love you than it should not bother them. he asks questions every now and again which i answer. mine is bad but I know that he is not going anywhere vecause of it. we joke that i just don't need to worry about shaving my armpits and i will always have bandages for our kids booboos good luck
