Boy is confusing

So this guy I like is a very interesting person he’s funny smart and really laid back person. We hung out on Saturday and we’ve hung out multiple times before this but it’s always att odd times becuase my parents don’t like him cause they think he’s weird he’s also not white (I’m a liberal unlike my parents) they are worried that my grandfather will say something to him about it. So anyways we hung out and we had a great time we went to the beach at like 3pm and talked. He then started ya know being a huge gentleman (which he isnt that kind of guy he’s more intimidating to others) but he opened the door for me carried all the towels and when I asked if he needed help he was like no I can’t let you do that. But he started talking about he’s never met anyone like me who makes him feel this way and how I have a great personality... when I asked why we don’t hangout/date he and I both agreed that it was my parents. Yet I still can’t tell wether or not I’m a booty call as we don’t have a lot of conversations over text (I also can’t take any hints concerning that kind of stuff sooo)
