I’m currently 17 w with my first baby. It’s going to be the 2nd for my boyfriend. About 2 days ago he told me he didn’t want to touch our son until he was at least 6 months because he’s afraid of how little newborns are and he thinks he’s going to hold him and break his little body. I’ll admit, my hormones made me tear up a little because my big strong boyfriend sounded so vulnerable when he said it, but it just seems so weird to me because it’s not like it’s his first kid, but it’s been about 8 years since he’s had a newborn.

Anyone else have a SO who was like this? Did he/she change after the baby was born?

I can’t really wait “6 months” for him to be ok holding our son since I only have 3 months maternity leave.
