Can anyone tell me about sensory processing disorders? Particularly, sensory modulation disorder.

My daughter was just diagnosed. Any other parents with a child with this diagnosis? Can you tell me what symptoms they had, when they were diagnosed? Did they receive OT? How have they progressed? I would love to hear more personal experiences instead of just searching google. I know things could be way worse, but I am still devastated.  I just don’t know what this all means for her. 😞

My kids don't have it but I have it. I was officially diagnosed at 6 years old I couldn't handle loud noises, I was very shy, had a hard time speaking, I had awful motor control, I had awful coordination and was just a very anxious kid. I was in ST/PT/OT until I was 13/14 because I talked my mom into letting me stop becsuse I stopped making progress. I feel like it helped me but I never got to the normal. I still write like a second grader, I am not good at socializing, Ive been to one concert and cried half of the time and I have awful balance. I don't know if this has anything to do with it but I have an absolute awful time with finding my way around places. I get lost in Walmart. I still have struggles and I am behind a lot of other peolle my age but I try to not let that bother me and do the best I can.
