Tickling Students

I’m currently watching Mind Hunters and there is an episode where the FBI agent, Holden, gets involved at a school because a teacher mentioned to him the principal would tickle the children’s feet instead of punishing them and he would give them a nickel for it. So Harold talks to several teachers and parents and most say they’re uncomfortable with it but the principal is adamant that he’s not doing for anything wrong because he is doing it instead of a punishment and his school is doing exceptionally good. Anyways, I guess my question is, if your child came home with extra change and told you their principal gave it to them for tickling their feet what would your thoughts be?
