Car rant

Hannah • Hey my name is Hannah. I am a 27 yo SAHM 💙👶🏻 💙4/29/16 💙👶🏻 💙4/23/18

When I first found out I was pregnant with y first in 2015 we had a crappy falling apart crysler. Well when I was 6 months pregnant it over heated and caught fire (indicators stopped working) so we decided to get a new car in January 2016. We did a lot of research and decided on a 2016 Chevy Sonic brand new and it was great for a bit. Well in the summer of 2016 it was recalled for a axel issue and Bluetooth issue. Fall of 2016 we had 2 huge tire blowouts as a result of the recall. Fine fixed no problems. Then in fall of 2017 I was driving the car with my first son in the backseat pregnant with my second and the car just loses control on the highway. Thankfully I was able to get it into te shoulder and no one was hurt and no damage. My SO takes it to Chevy where they reset the setting and say it’s fine and it was a computer glitch. So we go home later that month it happens again go back to Chevy and they reset it again and say it’s fine my SO insists they take a further look at it but they refuse because our warranted is just expired we were 5000 over our milage limit. They insisted it was fine. This happens consistently on and off and they reset it and insist its fine. I no longer take the car out in any poor weather because it makes it 10x worse. Well earlier this week my SO is coming home from work (he works 12-9) and calls me saying he’s fine something is wrong with the car but when he turned it off and restarted it it said it was fine. Well today we all went to get ice cream which is about a mile away from my house and on the way back the car overheated and we had to pull over. We get it home and there is a leak in the radiator. It’s never been in an accident, it’s never bottomed out, and we regularly check and change fluids. My SO says he can fix it but I’m done at this point Chevy needs to take responsibility for this car it’s only 2 years old! I’m just so frustrated. We got rid of one death trap and did our research to get a safer car and have had nothing but problems. I’m so afraid to take my kids out in this car.
