Outings with baby

When did y’all take your baby out? For walks, grocery shopping, swimming, etc. my fiancé will return to work almost immediately after I have the baby in July and I know I’ll get bored with staying at home by myself all day every day. I was also wondering when you took your baby to the pool? I live in Arizona and I’m due the hottest part of the year so I wanted to take my son swimming but I’m not sure if there’s a recommended age to wait for a baby to go swimming
