There is this guy in my class that I’m head over heels for and he recently started texting me and wants me to “hang out” with him after school we are both 14 (freshman) and everyone is saying I should go for it and I’ll only get one chance with him I’ve been postponing answering him or telling him that my mom is expecting me I don’t want to lose my chance I don’t know if anyone as amazing as him will come along. I’m not sure what I should do...

You’re 14, of course someone else will come along. 
You need to find out exactly what he means by “hangout” and if he means at his house don’t do it. a romp in the hay isn’t worth the heartache. 
If he’s really into you, you can def tell him about your mom.

don't do it. he's a fuckboy. you may think it's nice but it really isn't lol, you should want to be with someone who actually wants to be with you. not just hangout. if that's so you're getting out of him for "one chance" pass it up. you're 14, not even at the legal age of consent. do not do it.
