Picking the right birth control???

Hello! Right now I am currently 40 weeks pregnant and the topic of birth control has been coming up a lot at the obgyn. I definitely don’t want anymore kids anytime soon but I would still like to be sexually active with my fiancé.

I was thinking about the copper iud but heard some pretty bad side effects like hair loss or weight gain or even the iud moving and causing infections. But on the other hand a lot of positive reviews too.

Ive also considered the pill but I was on larin 24 fe before and it made me gain a lot of weight, caused depression and made my period stop completely.

Does anyone have any recommendations for the pill or if the copper iud has worked really well? I would like a birth control method that doesn’t effect my skin or weight but is also safe and will prevent pregnancy. Thank you so much to anyone who comments I know this is a lot of writing lol
