Anyone else hate having to wait until 8 weeks for pretty much anything ?

Found out I was pregnant 10 dpo so now I call the Dr (after every military step to get there) and I have to wait until I'm 8 weeks for my first appointment 😔

It was a little difficult to wait and find out everything was progressing normally. However, it was nice to actually see something on the first ultrasound. I almost wished I had waited until 10 weeks so my baby looked more human and less tadpole.

I hated using Tricare when I had it because if you go to a military hospital you don’t have a primary care doctor you can build a relationship with. At least, that’s how it was where we were stationed. The only way I got to confirm my pregnancy early (5w) was because I called my regular doctor and asked her to do a blood test, and she agreed. That helped soften my worries until an OB would see me at 8 weeks.

My last two pregnancies they wouldn’t see me until after 8 weeks. At first I was shocked and I felt like I was waiting forever but I guess that’s how they do it now 🙄

I didn’t have my first appointment until 11 weeks, first ultrasound at 15 weeks. Don’t worry, it will fly by!

It was ok for me as I had a scan and my first midwife app a few days after I found out I was pregnant as didn’t have periods so they didn’t know how far along I was! I was 7 and a half weeks x
