Thigh highs

We're all a fan of thigh highs and I got this (pictured below) and got to wondering does color really matter? I know it does to an extent (it shouldn't wash you out etc) but is there a preference? ex: black over nude? Red over black? If I walked out in a red busier with nude thigh highs would it look less attractive than if I walked out with a red bustier and black highs? I know all guys are different but all guys are the same too. Opinions?
