I am one of those people that gets really exhausted being around people a lot. So, I need a few days to myself to just do my own thing and not worry about other people. it sounds like he's the same. he needs some space to regroup and that's great he's communicating it with you instead of getting mad at you for not understanding how he feels. just give him some space physically but there's no reason why you guys still can't talk or FaceTime or whatever.
