Iud out first period but no positive ovulation test?

Question

I got my iud taken out last month. Since then I tested everyday to see when I was ovulating so I could try to get an idea when we started TTC. However I never got a positive test. But as of Friday about a full month since I had the iud taken out. I got my first period. 
Is it normal to not get positive ovulation tests after getting the iud out ?
On a side note. This first period since getting the iud out is just as bad as the bleeding after having my son. 
Someone should have warned me ! Lol

It can take up to 6 months to start ovulating again and/or to get a regular cycle back. Totally normal!

I got my Nexplanon out in February, and start attending that day. I didn’t ovulate for 34 days, and didn’t have a period for 45. Sometimes it just takes time. Good luck!

I bled twice the month I took mine out. Then had a 23 day cycle, then a 25 day cycle, then my bfp. I had an anovulatory cycle the cycle before my bfp. No real surge on opk, so I started temping the cycle I got my positive because I wasn't trusting that I really was ovulating. It took me the same number of cycles to get pregnant it did with my first, it can make you wonky after it comes out and the first period is unreal. I still like it better than the pill though
