so I've been under CPS currently and a recently found out that we were no longer under investigation and now have a only a CPS counselor. now what happens? does my safety plan stay in play? do I no longer have to go to court? what happens?

I have worked for CPS before in two states, but every state is different. There are investigations and then ongoing cases. It sounds like they’ve closed the investigation but you still have an open case. The safety plan stays in effect until they tell you otherwise. Most open cases usually have court involvement, particularly if it started off with court involvement. You really should call them and ask for clarification on what is going on. You have a right to know how this process works. And when in doubt, ask (them) questions!

You probably need to CPS AND find out. I’m sure if you have a counselor then you still need your safety plan because your counselor can pop in at any time to check on you.
