“Your supposed to be a Christian girl”

I’m 18 and I recently bought this swimsuit from aerie. The bottoms are supposed to be high waisted cheeky so they bunch when I walk. My mom saw me and got mad and said they’re basically a thong and it’s completely inappropriate and can’t lay out in the front yard. They are very cheeky but I felt confident in them and now I feel like I can’t wear it. My dad commented on it too. I’m going on vacation with them soon so that probably means I can’t wear it. Is it too cheeky for my age? I am Christian but I thought if I felt confident it was alright? I tried to find a different high waisted but I thought the cheeky was most flattering to my butt. I still live with them
