I plan on moving out of my parents house but all of this credit thing is still confusing to me, and there’s this apartment complex I’m living right near me, any tips? Thanks!

Finding an apartment that is privately owned will probably be the best option, if you can find one in the area you want to be in. Big complexes with a rental company are more likely to reject you if you have no credit. I ran into this problem before I moved into my current apartment. I didn’t have any credit, but made plenty of money for any of the apartments I looked at, but the big ones that were owned by a company wouldn’t let me rent until I had some credit. My apartment is just owned by a guy who has some investment properties and he was okay with me not having any credit, but he did want a little bit of a bigger security deposit from me.
