POTTY TRAINING

*posting this is multiple groups for more responses******* Can I get some potty training tips/stories. My son is 20 months old and ready. He is interested in the potty and tells me he has to poop before he poopoos in his diaper. Sometimes he tells me when he pees as well. I've never done this before so I don't know if he will need pull ups at night still in the beginning or if I should get a potty seat that goes over our toilet, or should I get him his own little toilet?
