he told me to kill myself

I wanted to be nice to my ex and send us both off a nice way by making him a letter of thanking him for molding me into a person who looked deeply into my heart-

after i told him i was going to make him something... he told me to kill myself.

i know i shouldn’t really worry about this because hes a douche but no one has ever said this to me before and it really broke me.

i don’t want to be mean to him or rash out at him or anything, because theres no point to that.

Any thoughts? Should i still make the letter??
