Baby Shower Etiquette
What exactly is SUPPOSED to happen with the second baby? I know lots of people choose to do different things but I want to know what is the most socially accepted. This is my second baby and it’s a boy. Our first was a girl. I am not anticipating that I will be thrown a shower since it is my second. Is this correct? It doesn’t seem as though I should be expecting gifts again but I want to know what to expect just in case. I see others on here having big showers with each baby and I just think that would be frowned upon in my neck of the woods but I could be wrong. The more I think about it, I think I probably shouldn’t be expecting one (which I’m not) but just want to ask others if this is just me or if it is the norm.
Update: Does income play a role here? I thought of this later but we make literally 3-4x more money than the rest of our family.
