When to start a family.

Question

Hey guys! So my husband and I are both 26 years old and have been together for 9 years. We want two kids but we have always wanted to be ready. Like buy a house and have a good amount of money in the bank. I also want to lose 40 more lbs. I have lost 60 in total so far. How will I know if it is to late and I won't be able to have children?  Should we be trying now?

For most couples there isn't a perfect "right" time (when it comes to money, living situation, etc) and if you're waiting for perfection in the external things you'll likely never find it.  I say search internally and have some honest conversations to decide when you're emotionally ready.  When that comes the rest can be worked out! My husband and I are in our 30s and just now thinking about having our first... I worry that we've waited too long or if the first takes too long to conceive we won't have an option for a second if we want. But I have been told by so many people not to worry about it, it will come :)

Do what you feels right. Personally I don't believe there is ever a correct time to have babies as long as you guys are happy and you seem to be commited. There will always be that oh let's wait until we have more money or whatever else it is. If you both want kids anytime is the right time. 😊
