Do you think a promise ring is something people in relationships want or is that just things in movies??🧐🤔

Me and my boyfriend both have promise rings. It's a promise not only that we'll tie the knot eventually but that all those vows apply now and we will put the other before ourselves. It means that we trust each other and look after each other in good times and bad and, like the vows say, in sickness and health. And... Its a reminder that it doesn't matter if/how many times we fight our love for each other will always be more powerful

A few people might want them but I find them to have not much meaning and redundant. Yes it’s a way to say that you want to be together long term, but there’s lots of ways to say that. it doesn’t have to be a ring. and I only consider couples officially engaged once they have an engagement ring. A promise ring is like something kids do when they are too young to propose for real and it feels kind of like playing house

Some people do and some don't. Just personal preference! My best friend has a promise ring and I gave one to my boyfriend too.
