Boy or a girl name??

I want to name my future little boy Caelen. Do you think that resembles too much of the girl name caitlin?

Honestly, it's not really a name. It sounds masculine, but it just sounds like you've added some letters to Caitlin.

I know a guy named Kaylen. People will probably mistake it for Caitlin in conversation but most names get mistaken for other names anyways. People always think my name is "Joanne" and I always have to say "No, it's Joann-AAAH, with an 'A'" u_u

I love it :) I'd say it's unisex so it's fine, my name is a female name but to anyone who doesn't know my language it sounds like a male or unisex name. Having a unisex name is actually a benefit because it gets rid of the judgements people (potential employers etc) might make before meeting me.

Caelen is a Gaelic boys name meaning "victorious people." So, I happen to like it. And no, it doesn't sound like a girl's name or like you morphed Caitlyn. If you want something similar sounding, but more "American" maybe Caleb?

Anything with Len or Lan sounds like Lynn, feminine. For this same reason, I can't understand why Rylan is considered a boy's name.
