HORRIBLE LAST NAMES!

I'm worried about taking my fiancés last name and giving it to my baby. Half of me is like 'it's just a last name, it's no big deal' but my other half is like 'keep your last name and give the baby your last name'. I'm fearful my child will get made fun of for having the last name Herpy. I love my fiancé and would love to take his last name but some friends and family are making me have second thoughts.  Does anyone else have this problem?
