Do you think social media is bad for relationships?

Apps and sites such as Snapchat, instagram, facebook. What are the good and bad things about these apps when it comes to your relationship? What are you, and are you not okay with your partner doing on these apps? Is communication or liking others photos cheating to you? Does it bother you if your partner has to record of you on their social media?

It’s only bad for relationships if one or both parties allows it to be. Contrary to popular belief you can’t blame someone’s infidelity on an app. If someone is going to cheat they’ll do it regardless of having social media or not.

It’s all about trust, loyalty, & self control. If social media ruins someone’s relationship, there are bigger issues at hand. My husband and I both have our own social media accounts, we know each others passwords but never use them. We mainly use them to share stuff and communicate with each other. We don’t monitor what each other follows or likes not do we get sensitive about those things. We never snoop but sometimes we’ll just be on each others phones scrolling on each other’s feeds to see who has cooler stuff lol

If people in a relationship are gonna be flirty over social media they’ll do it in real life too. It’s just easier to catch on social media. I’ve been with my husband going on 8 years and we’ve never had an argument or issue with social media because neither of us are looking outside of our relationship

To be honest my boyfriend just has Facebook and he rarely ever logs in. The closest thing to social media he actively uses is what's app lol

If you let it control your relationship then yes.
But if you don’t let it cause any arguments and you both stay faithful while using social media it shouldn’t be a worry

Yes. In my opinion it’s bad. Yeah if you really want to cheat you will but I think social media just isn’t needed in a relationship
