Self confidence and Miscarriage
Worth the read:
Hi! I am so new to all this. Last year at the age of 16 I suffered a miscarriage at 6-8 weeks, i was unaware that I was pregnant as I had been having stomach cramps and slight bleeding a bit before, which my doctor was aware of. At age 16 I never told my mum what was happening, she wasn’t interested in what I was going through, because she was too busy working full time. The boyfriend who I was with, I chose to spilt up from, as I wanted him to be happy, and if he knew I was pregnant it would ruin his chances in the future (this decision I haven’t regretted to this day). Eventhough, it broke my heart to watch him walk away, I knew it was for the best. A few days went by and I was told by a friend to do a pregnancy test, which is when i found out I was pregnant, the next day I went to see my doctor to talk about aborting the baby, as from a strict family, I would be frowned upon for keeping it and I wasn’t in the best of health, 4 days before I was due to abort the baby, I began to experience some horrible cramping pains and bleeding, and I won’t go into detail but I miscarried, which after consulting my doctor after, I was referred to the hospital. Having a miscarriage for anyone, is a horrible experience but after that day, I mentally and physically struggled to carry on everyday, and I became very self conscious of my body. Now from the help and support of friends who I opened up to about the ordeal and speaking to my current boyfriend, nearly a year on I am getting back to my old self and I shall never forget what happened but I’m so glad I opened up to my friends and discussed what was going on in my life, because it has made a huge difference to me. Women/girls who have experienced a miscarriage keep your held high, smile everyday and you’ll get through this❤️ sending hugs
