Have you ever had your friends with benefits tell you that he likes you and might want to pursue a relationship with you? If so how did that work out?

We dated for 3 months broke up because he was getting deployed. 9 mo later after we broke up, he came home he wanted to be fwb (we were still occasionally talking throughout the 9 months) after a year of being fwb we got back together, then a year and half later got engaged. Married for 2 yrs and have 2 kids.

yep and I broke it off because that's not what we agreed to in the beginning. it was just supposed to be fun, no romantic feelings. he was terrible at relationships anyway, it never would've worked.

Yes actually I did have this happen. We have been friends since I was 14 then at 26 we started the whole FWB but then I did something that made him very, very upset with me. Upset enough that he didn’t talk to me for 6 months. I thought he would never talk to me again. Then a month before he talked to me again I started a relationship with another person I have known since I was 14 & fell completely head over heals. He passed away a year ago this July. But when my FWB started talking to me again he told me he had feelings that ran real deep. He told me he wanted to eventually make me his wife but I told him it was to late for that. If he had truly felt that way nothing should make a person walk away with feelings like that. Love is something that is unconditional. So although the FWB was perfect & if things had worked out differently I would have def spent my life with him I couldn’t just walk away from the great man I was with because he didn’t deserve that. My FWB & I are still great friends till this day. It never affected our friendship. In fact I would go as far as to say it made us closer as friends. We talk about everything & we are extremely open & now we are always there for each other on both ends. It made him be a better person as far as standing by a woman he truly cares for. Even though this happened with us I know this is usually not the case for everyone.

I’ve had 2 FWB’s one we stuck to the rules and no one developed feelings. The other one though, we developed feelings for each other and even though we tried to end it we couldn’t stay away from each other. After a tumultuous 5 years of back and forth we finally got together as a couple and have been together for over 2.5 years and married for 8 months.
