Can’t stand my mother

So she’s visiting for a week. Only three days in and she’s already broken my toilet seat, took the liberty of using my mascara without asking, and insulted my hair and said I should cut it to shoulder length. She keeps saying the back “looks fuzzy.” Well I got curly baby hairs at the roots, so according to her logic I guess I should just shave my head. 🙄

I’ve been trying to grow my hair since mid 2013 and it’s only at armpit length. I dont think it’s really gotten any longer in the past year. She is so insensitive to something I’ve wanted all my life. I do everything right to try to keep my hair healthy so it will grow longer, and despite my efforts it’s never good enough. I’ve given up washing my hair everyday. And I haven’t used heat styling tools in the past year either. Wednesday was the first time in a year I had my hair blow dried and flat ironed. I showed the stylist a pic of my hair from last year and she said it looked longer there than it is now.

I wish my mom would be more empathetic.
