Just started birth control

I started birth control this past Sunday- the same day my period started. My gyno told me to start then. The brand is taytulla.

My insurance called and said they don’t cover it so she switched me to a generic brand called Junel Fe 24. I don’t start it until I’m done with this month’s taytulla. Does anyone have any experience with that one? If so, did you have any side effects? What were they?

I have hormonal cystic acne so really hoping this won’t make it worse. Also hoping it doesn’t make me gain weight or have crazy mood swings.

I get married on the second Sunday in September this year. I was really hoping I could use the BC to manipulate when my period comes so I’m not on my period on my wedding day. (Fingers crosses it helps with my acne too and doesn’t increase it!) Right now I’m scheduled to be finishing my period the day of the wedding. Hoping that switching to a different BC doesn’t make that impossible to do since it’s almost just three months away. Would love any advice on that! Or if you’ve had experience doing this! Thanks!
