IUD & Depression

Hello ladies , I had been on the mirena for almost 2 years now & I knew something was wrong but never really put two & two together and just figured you become this emotional once you’re a mom but it wasn’t until I talked to a friend that she said that the mirena has caused her major depression that maybe that’s exactly what maybe causing me to feel the way I do so I have finally removed it DIY style because my doctor did not want to remove it for me even though I explained to her why I wanted it out . Anyways I just want to know how long after it was removed did any of you start feeling like yourself again ?
