Does getting your period while on birth control guarantee your not pregnant?
About two weeks ago I noticed that i may have accidentally took two birth control pills on accident and resulted to finishing my pack a day early. During this months pack, I wasn’t consistent with my pill. Not necessarily missing a pill, but not taking them at the same time everyday. I remember PP telling me it’s okay if it’s not the same time everyday just as long as it’s around the same time. There was days where I was a couple hours late (2-10). I did take a pill every day except the day I took two pills in one day. The birth control I’m taking is the combo pill.
I’m sexually active and I have unprotected sex all the time with my boyfriend. I’ve been on the pill for 5 months now.
I’m a little worried that I may be pregnant. Yes, i do know that the pill is not 100% reliable. I do not need to be lectured or be told that I am “dumb” and made bad choices. I already feel worried and upset and don’t need to feel worst.
My question is: Does getting your period/withdrawal bleeding during your placebo week guarantee you that you are not pregnant? I usually bleed on the 3rd day but this time I got it on the 4th day. I’m on my 4th day of my placebo pill and just got my period/withdrawal bleeding. I’m bleeding but it’s super light. Lighter than what Ive been usually getting while on the pill. Does that affect/mean anything? I realize every month my period has been getting lighter the longer I’m on the pill.
How long should I wait to take a pregnancy test?
