Heartburn sucks!

Nicole

With my first pregnancy, I remember the heartburn kicking in around 30 weeks, but as long as I was careful to watch how fast I ate and nothing too spicy, it was fine. Currently 30+6, and I’ve had mild episodes of heartburn, but I made the mistake of eating my evening snack too close to bedtimes. I woke up out of a dead sleep at 12:45am with the worst heartburn pain I have ever had! Took some Tums, and it took forever for it to go away. Managed to go back to sleep, but woke up again around 2am. This time I took a pill, but it took a while to take affect, and I still had a couple waves of pain. Throughout this whole painful episode, baby girl is busy wiggling and kicking like mad, making me even more uncomfortable. Thankfully, the pain is finally gone. I ended up sitting completely upright in a recliner chair as any amount of reclining seemed to make the pain worse. So, maybe I can catch a few hours of sleep now.
