Bringing up baby on narrowboat - advice please!
Hi, everyone!
This may be a long shot, but does anybody have any tips/advice for bring up a baby on a narrowboat/canal boat? We have just started trying for our first baby and live on a 45ft by 6ft narrowboat with a dog and a cat. We've been told again and again "you can't have a baby on a boat!" but we love the lifestyle and believe growing up on a boat will give our baby a unique and wonderful childhood. However, as you can imagine, space is very limited.
I was wondering if anybody had had their baby on a boat, especially with pets, and how did you get on?? Or maybe mums/dads out there could give me a list of the absolute essential newborn items that we would need? We're going to have to be pretty minimalist parents!
We know that after 2-3 years we'll have to consider our options and get a bigger boat or maybe even go into a house if we absolutely have to, but until then we're determined to stay on our beautiful boat!!
Thank you in advance 😁
