How old is too old to have a baby?

Im 39 have an 11 year old about to get remarried (first hubby passed) my son is begging for a baby my soon to be hubby is going to adopt my son.....but I feel like Im to old to start again. My "husband" would like one but is not pushing me too. Im also worried he could show his child more love then my son. So lost and confused..........

Im 39 and trying. Ive been trying since I was 34. My new husband adopted my children from my prev marriage.  We really want one together. I dont think its too old.

My mom had me at 38. If you feel you can safely have a baby I don't think age matters.

My mom had my sister when she was 40 and I was 10. I thought having a new sibling was awesome. My mom also pointed out that having a ten year old around to help with the baby was a God send. As I grew older my sister sometimes felt that she had an extra mom rather than a sister, but overall I think it was a great experience for all of us. My mom says having my sister that late kept her young.😀
No one but you can answer if the situation will work for you, but in my family's case it was good.

My SIL had her 3rd and 4th at 41 and 43. Her first baby was a cesarean and her last three babies were born at home :) she doesn't have any health problems. I think "how old is too old" is very dependent upon the individual and not just about age, but so many other factors too. <3

I am 39 and have 14yr old twin boys from a previous relationship. Their father passed when they were a year old. I am now married to a man that has two boys of his own. They are 14 and 11. We have talked about having a baby together but it just hasn't happened yet. I would really like for us to have a baby and my husband is fine with or without a baby. He says if it happens it happens and if not that's ok too. I keep thinking that it is going to seem like starting over. We would have 3 boys starting high school and 1 starting middle school then a baby. I don't know.

If you get checked out and seem to be 100% healthy go for it,but please remember women at the age of 35+ tend to have a higher chance with health risks for momma and or baby. If you feel you want another then try for it!!!

My parents were 36 and 40 when they had me. They already had a 20 y.o. (my father's from a previous marraige, but my mom did and still does love him and treat him like her own) a 14 y.o., and a 12 y.o.(No, I was not an "oops.") I adored having older siblings! They helped mom alot with me and even their friends loved to entertain me   when I was a kid. I also feel that I kind of got the best of both worlds- I am the baby of the family, but by the time I was 12 all my siblings were out on their own and I got all of my parents attention lol It was (is) great having...well seasoned ( I guess those are the words I'm looking for)parents. Also, despite the age difference, I'm really close with my siblings.
As long as your doctor doesn't have any major health concerns for you, I say why not? :)

I would think it depends on your health and a serious discussion with your doctor because risks are greater as your age goes up...also I'd think you may want to think about how the stress of a new baby may negatively effect your health... either way I hope whatever decision you make goes smoothly for you.
