What’s your funniest parenting whoops?

My mom let my husband and I stay in her home after we got back from the hospital from having the baby.

We were doing great getting adjusted to our new life with our little one.

Because he was born in January, it was really cold (even indoors). And we had forgotten some of his clothes at home. My mom decided it would be better to buy him some jammies at her local Target nearby to save us the trip.

We try them out for one night, and the next morning (it was soo cold) we look over to our son and he has a blue tone to his skin - ALL OVER HIS BODY

Of course we google it and we were horrified. Pretty sure he was going to die.

Until I look at his jammies and realize my mom never washed them.. so the blue dye from the clothes dyed his peeling baby skin blue

We told our pediatrician this story at his first appointment and she couldn’t stop laughing. We all still laugh about it today 😂
