parenting difference: updated

what do you ladies do when you and your baby's daddy/ significant other have total opposite parenting styles? I've honestly thought about leaving him because i know if I do he will move back to ohio and make little effort to see his son. that alone is bad enough. But on top of that, if he parents his way our son will grow up learning to swear, be racist, sexist, angry and close minded. please don't judge me for being with him. I know he's not a good person 60 to 70% of the time but I fell in love with him before I knew that and then i got pregnant when he first started showing his true colors. He has good intentions and a good heart but he is so extremely misguided and has a severe mental illness. I just don't know ehat to do. I want what's best for my baby. Update: He constantly wants to choose when to be a father. any time the baby is fussy or vryomg and he can't fix it he will hand him off to me or text me saying he's "over it" and never watching him again. wed. He wants to pick and choose when to be a father. pretty much only when it's convenient and makes him look good or the baby is in a good modd.... I'm about done..
